You will understand the motivation to IMS and the added value of the technology for enterprise networks. You will gain insight to the actual implementation of typical IMS services and become familiar with IMS protocols (SIP, Diameter) and message flows. Thus, you will be able to better understand the IMS benefits for Enterprise Networks and how Enterprise Networks products can be integrated into IMS.

You will get a a comprehensive overview of the next generation Internet Protocol. You will look at the benefits and features of the new protocol along with an appreciation of the likely impact on the existing Internet Protocol and migration strategies. Thus you will be able to participate in decisions with more competence and develop and manage your IP product more efficiently.

You will know the basics on packet-oriented speech transmission including components, interfaces, protocols and procedures.You will have a basic awareness for QoS problems and their solutions. Thus you will be able to develop, produce or manage your VoIP product or service with more competence and efficiency.
